Local Mitochondrial Function Following Traumatic Brain Injury in Rats

外傷後のコハク酸脱水素酵素(SDH)の活性を調べた。ラット大脳に外側液体衝撃を与え、1時間と72時間後に脳局所のSDH活性を測定し、画像化した。低圧衝撃では、1時間後、活性は衝撃側前頭葉で有意に低下した。72時間後には、前頭・頭頂・側頭葉で活性は有意に低下した。中・高圧衝撃では、1時間後、活性は前頭・頭頂・側頭葉で低くなり、72時間後、海馬のCAlおよびCA2-3で有意な低下を示した。衝撃の対側には、SDH活性の低下はみられなかった。衝撃側の皮質と海馬でみられるミトコンドリアの機能障害は外傷の強さと相関し、時間を経過して強くなった。ミトコンドリアの機能異常の進行は、二次的な生体エネルギーの消退と関連している。
