• ヒト子宮頚部平滑筋肉腫細胞株(SKN)は樹立後11年経過した現在も安定した増殖をしている。細胞の形態(線維状、長紡錘形)、増殖能(DT=30h、PE=25%)、染色体(mode;hyper tetraploid,large subtelocentric marker chromosome)等の細胞生物学的性状も変化が見られない。G-bandによる核型分析でlarge telocentric marker chromosome の一部は2qであり、この染色体は全ての細胞に認められた。nude mouseへの移植は不可であった。孵化鶏卵漿尿膜に1×10^7個の細胞を植込んだが血管新生は見られなかった。またSKN細胞培養上清は血管内皮細胞の増殖を僅かに抑制した。nude mouse への異種移植ができない理由は血管新生および血管内皮細胞の増殖がおこらないためと考えられる。
