The localization length<$ for four kinds of the 10 randonn potentials (a d-function type andthree Kronig-Penny types) has been calculated ntrrauerically as a function of the electron energyand two pararmeters specifying the randomness of the potential (the maximum strength of thepotential and the average interx'al a between neighbouring impurities). A length parameter s isintroduced which is related to the flttctuation of the potential. We have found that 4 / s dependsonly on ks for ka< l, where k is the electron wave nvrmber. The function relating gas to ks isfound to be universal f'or the four kinds of the potential considered here.
