T_c Suppression of SrRuO_3/SrTiO_3 Superlattices

The transverse and Iongittmdinal uaaagnetoresistivities of SrRuO3/SrTiO3 superlattices onSrTiOa (001) substrates were measured to study low-dimensional efl'ects on the znagneticproperties of SrRuO3. Both the differential resistivity, dp(T)/dT, and magnetoresistivity,Ap(H) = p(H) - p(0), become maximum at the ferrounagnetic transition tenaperattrre, V'C. Thetransition appears when the SrRtrO3 layer is as thick as 2 unit-cells or naore. The V'C decreasesquickly with decreasing thickness, especially for less than 4 trnit-cell thickness.
