Four types of rnagnetic exchange interactions, which work between quasiparticles, are investi-gated within the theoretical framework of the virtvnal exchange of' bosons or bosonic excitations.Three types of exchange interactions are dtre to the virtual exchazuge of' high-energy spin exci-tations, pair excitations of electrons far from the chetnical potential throtrgh the spin channels. They are characterized by a pair of internaediate states in tlae exchange process; the conventionalsuperexchange interaction is characterized by a pair of' occtrpied lcands, an extended superexchange interaction by a pair of unoccupied bands, and an extended Rudernaan-Kittel-KastryaYosida (RKKY) exchange interaction by a pair of an occttpied band and an unoccupied band. These three types of exchange interactions are present in both insulating and raaetallic states. The fourth one is a novel exchange interaction due to the virttmal exchange of low-energy spinexcitations, pair excitations of qtrasiparticles throtugh the spin channels, and scales with an ef-fective bandwidth of' quasiparticles. This exchange interaction is present only in metallic states. The extended RKKY and the novel exchange interactions can be ferronaagnetic for specific bandstrtrcttrres. All of tl'xese fotrr exchange interatctions can be Cooper-pair interactions.
