Anisotropic superconductivity of strongly correlated electrons is studied in the 1 / dexpansion, with d being the spatial dimensionality. Kondo-effect-type local spin fluc-tuations are of the leading order in 1 /d. Tltey are responsible for the formation ofGutzwiller's heavy electrons. Superconductivity is of higher order in 1/d. Thesuperexchange interaction causes supercondtactivity of s or d7 wave, while 8 three-siteexchange interaction causes that of s or p wave. Within the mean-field approximationwhich is one of the simplest schemes of the 1 /d expansion, the highest critical temper-ature is obtained for dy wave, two dimensions, and almost half filling where the effec-tive mass of heavy' electrons is large and 'the three-site exchange interaction is rela-lively ineffective through the enhancement of vertex functions for spin cha.nne1s. Anargument is given in connection with high-I. superconductivity in the cuprate oxides.Hubbard model, superconductivity, axaiscctropic, d wave, high T., electron cor-relation, 1 /d expansion, Kondo effect, h?:avy electrons, superexchange interac-tion, three-site exchange interaction, tw'o dimensions, cuprate oxides
