The resronse of the system of the charsed edne dislocations and the surround-ins charne clouds in ionic cry'stabs to the arrlied electric field is calculated in thelinear ar>rroximation. It is assumed that there is only one t>'r>e of movable chargedpoint defects, and the motion of them are described by a hydro-dynamic equation. As for the motion of the dislocations, the string model is adopted and only elec-tric interaction between the dislocation and point defects is considered. Fromthis model, the displacement of the dislocation caused by the applied electricfield, the effective field that the dislocation senses and the polarization of thesystem are obtained. The calculation can explain the value of piezo-electricmodulus due to charged dislocations obtained experimentally. It is also shownthat Q-value and compliance defect can be explained by the calculation for thestress field case.
