The response to an applied electric field of charged edge dislocation andsurrounding charge cloud system is calculated for the case that the cloud iscomposed of two species of movable charged point defects. It is shown that at lowfrequency region the charged dislocation senses the unscreened field and thecoefficient of the converse piezo-electric effect does not coincide with that of thedirect effect.
