Saturation magnetization of fcc Ni-Co and Co-Fe alloys containing Mn di-lutely has been measured at 4.2 K in fields up to 40 k0e as a function of alloycomposition. From interpolation of the results at compositions where fcc phaseis metallurgically stable, the magnetic moment per Mn atom jt.g. in fcc Co hasbeen determined to be fl.7g0.05 p.. This result is differen.t both in sign and inmagnitude from previous resttlts. Saturation magnetization of hcp Co containingMn dilutely has also been measured in fields up to 100 kOe. The value of p..has been determined to be -7.5i0.5 us.
