• The temperature and the magnetic field dependence of the quasiparticle specific heat C_<QP>(T, H) in La_<2-x>Sr_xCuO_4 single crystals has been investigated. C_<QP>(T, H) of overdoped x = 0.19 crystals obeys the scaling law perdicted for"clean"d-wave systems. In contrast, for the under and optimally doped x = 0.10 and 0.16 crystals, C_<QP>(T, H) shows the"dirty"d-wave behavior, recently discussed by Kubert and Hirschfeld, indicating a crossover from dirty to clean d-wave behavior with doping.
