In an attezaapt to cl?xrif'y the nattrre of the uaaetal instulator transition of' /7-(BBDT-TTF)3PF.f'amily salts, tetnperature dependence of the static ta?atgnetic strsceptibility, resistivity tmndervariotrs presstrres, lattice parat?xeters ?rnd the intensity of X-ray strperlattice reflections havebeen uneasured for /J-(BEDT-TTF)2PF6 and /V-(BEDT-TTF)2ASF6. Tlae transition temperature (Tut) of these salts is shif'ted to higher tetnperattnres xvitla 2111 increase of' pressure. A sharpdrop of the activzttion energy is observed at 5kbar for the PF6 s?t1t and 6kbar for the AsF5salt. Alcove these presstrres, resistivity becornes altnost flat doxvn to low temperattrres thotrghthe resistivity again increases below 50 K. Plaase diagrarrns xvere constructed ['or both tauateri?tls.Static tnagnetic susceptibilities of lcoth salts exhibit abrtnpt drops below Tut. A noticeable dropof tlae lattice parameters, lattice voltrnaes and tlae X-ray intensities arourad 'Z'MI indicate that tl?eIVI-I transition is associ?rted with the strtrcttrral tr?rnsition. The existence of the 2-fold strtrcttrralcltanges is established by observing tlne strperlattice reflections corresponding to (a., b, 2c) below'Z'M I.
