The effect of thermal convection upon the diffusion-limited deposition (DLD) on aplate is investigated using a Monte Carlo model. The periodic flow of roll structure ap-pearing in Be'nard convection is considered to be thermal convection. Morphologicalchanges of diffusion-limited aggregation (DLA) under Be'nard convection arestudied by computer simulation. The convective diffusion field is simulated by thebiased-random walker resulting from a superimposed drift which represents the ther-mat convection. It is found that the deposit leads to the formation of a characteristiccolumnar morphology with increasing thermal convection. The columnar mor-phology is periodic in correspondence to the roll structure in Be'nard convection.DLA, Be'nard convection, random walk
