A new type of t7, mode is studied in a sheared stab model including an averaged curvature by an electrostatic incompressible fluid model describing both ion-temperature-gradient-driven drift modes (t7, modes) and resistive interchange modes( g modes) for a heliotron /torsatron. This t7, mode is destabilized by the coupling tothe unstable g mode. In the low shear limit, the 77, modes driven by the unfavorableaverage curvature remain, and their growth rates depend weakly on the compressibility effect. The t7, modes are weakly destabilized by electron-ion collisions.lion-temperature-gradient-driven mode, resistive interchange mode, heliotron, ]l torsatronl
