Linear stability against low m interchange modes are studied for the pressureprofile having a sharp peak in the central region. In the current-free high p plasmasof Heliotron E, density fluctuations having odd asymmetry around the centralchord are observed after the pellet injection which produces such a pressure profile. It is shown that the m=1/n=1 and m:3/n=2 modes become candidates toexplain the experiments. Nonlinear behaviors of the same modes are also dis-cussed.
