The method to study the effect. of the plate moving in the homogetteous orisotropic turbulence is presented. The crucial point of this method is to solve theOrr-Sommerfeld like equation, which is satisfied by the kernel of the Wiener-Hermite expansion of the ve].ocity field, under the inhomogeneotms bouuadarycondition. Ill the special case of constant mean flow, our method gi','es the sameresult as that of Hunt and Grahana axtd succeeds in explaining the ccxperimentalresults of Thomas a?td Hauvcock. The method is also applied to the ?xase of non-uniform mean flow, where the shear effect comes up.
