The nonlinear self-dual network equation is exactly solved by the inverse scatteringmethod. The equation is the discrete version of the modified Korteweg-de Vriesequation with negative dispersion coefficient. Considerating the integral on the Riem-ann surface, the Gel'fant Levitan (Marchenko) equation is obtained. Soliton and shockwave solutions with non-zero asymptotic values are given.
