The m-electronic excitations of the 3D (2D) tntrltiwalled carbon nanottmbe btrndles (arrays) arestudied within the linear response approxinaation. The longittrdinal dielectric ftrnction exhibitsa peak or diplike structtrre at the neighborhood of w :: 27c) ('yg is the resonance integral). Thisspecial strtrcttrre induces a pronotrnced 'r-plasuaaon peak in the loss function. The m-plasrnonfreqtrency and the oscillator strength of collective excitations are significantly afl'ected by thedirection and the nuagnitude of the transferred rtaotnentum, the nunaber of shells in a natrltiwallednanottrbe, and the dimensionalities of the cottpled zntrltiwalled nanotube systertas. On the otherhand, they are insensitive to the electronic strtrcture of the single-walled carbon nanottrbe (or thechiral angle) and the slight change of the shell ntnttaber. The predicted m-plasmon characteristicscotrld be experiunentally checked with EELS or optical spectra.
