The minimum-B field is calculated in series or characteristic functions of Laplace's equation. It is shown that a magnetic field can be realizeed if the current is so distributed that the terms of higher orders in the field components are cancelled out while those of lower orders are reserved. Such current distribution can be approximately realized by using suitable a combination of current carrying conductors.
