By combining the results obtained by Kugo and Higashijima on the relation between zero mass renormalization and mass shell renormalization with those of the present author on the triangular anomalies in quantum electrodynamics, a simple identity is derived. Namely, we have γ_θ(e)=γ_P(e), where γ_θ(e) denotes the anomalous dimension of the mass insertion vertex in Weinberg's equation and γ_P(e) that of the pseudoscalar vertex.
