Green's Functions in Non-Linear Field Theories

The functional differential equation obeyed by the generating functional of the timeordered Green's functions is derived in non-linear field theories. It is pointed out that the distinction between the T and T^* products of field operators is essential in this derivation. It is also shown how to modify the Dyson formula in non-linear field theories.
