Concepts of metrical configuration space and ergodic paths are introduced in frustrated spin systems. Some explicit examples of energy change in metrical configuration space are shown in frustrated finite lattices. A phenomenological theory to show the divergence of the nonlinear susceptibility along the Gabay-Toulouse line is also given, as well as the scaling law on the shift of transition point due to the longitudinal magnetic field H_z.
