The universal metric properties of the period-doubling sequence of whisker mapping are investigated in terms of the renormalization group method. The accumulation point K^* and the convergence (Feigenbaum) ratio δ are calculated. The ratio K^*/K_c(n) (K_c(n) is the critical value at which the n-th resonance state of period-1 destabilizes) is independent of the resonance state. The islands of quasipe-stochastic layer through the period-doubling cascades.
