B and D Meson Decays in the Heavy Quark Effective Theory

We study semi- and non-leptonic decays of B and D mesons in the heavy-quark effective theory (HQET). By using the maximum likelihood method, it is shown that not only B decays but also D decays (D^0→K^-l^^~ν_l, D^0→K^-π^+ and K^-ρ^+) are well described if O(Λ^^-/m_c) and O(Λ^^-/m _s) corrections are both taken into account.
