Study of the Neutron and Deuteron Polarized Structure Functions in a Constituent Quark Model : Nuclear Physics

• The polarized structure functions of the neutron and deuteron are analyzed in terms of a constituent quark model, in which the quark and gluon partons are generated via the cascade mechanism of the constituents. It is found that the x-shape and magnitude of the polarized structure functions of the neutron and deuteron are reproduced by the combined effects of the valence quark, qq-sea and anomalous gluon. The polarized parton distributions in the proton are estimated.
