The q deformed quadratic Casimir operator in the angular momentum space is, in general, expressed by the the generally covariant and gauge invariant eigenvalue in its deformed representation space with strength characterized by q-1, on the quantum universal enveloping algebra of SU_2. Some immediately calculable examples are discussed.
