Effects of interchain coupling on soliton propagation are studied numerically based on a realistic ferromagnetic chain system with planar anisotropy and its continuum version. The interchain coupling affects soliton dynamics even if it is 10^<-4> times weaker than the intrachain coupling. Solitons exchange their energies during propagation through the coupling, resulting in oscillation of their gravitational centers along the chains. Other phenomena as well as the oscillation observed in the simulation may be explained in terms of the potential concept based on the energy associated with the interchain coupling.
