ω Meson and a Bound State of ρ-π System

It is investigated whether the ω meson can be understood as a bound state of ρ-π system, where ρ meson is temporally assumed to be stable. It is shown that the ω-exchanging force alone is not sufficient to produce a bound state in a self-supporting mechanism. However, we can always expect a bound state, if there is an external force, which is attractive and stronger than a certain critical value. It is suggested that the ρ-exchanging force is a possible candidate for the external force, and the mass of bound state thus obtained is lower limited by √<m_p^2+m_π^2>cong780 Mev. The coupling constant is estimated to be g_<πρω>^2/4πcong0.4, which corresponds to about 10Mev of the decay width of ω into three pions. The strength of three-ρ vertex, g_ρ^2/4π, becomes about 18, if we put the ρ-π-π coupling as 2.75.
