We apply the Veneziano Model to photoproduction of eta mesons off nucleons. The model is written with inclusion of the trajectories ρ,ω,φ B, N_α and N_γ, the last two of which are assumed to be parity-doublet and not exchange-degenerate. From the requirement of duality H′ meson with J^<PG>=1^<+-> and I=0 is introduced within the framework of the nonet scheme. The purpose of the paper is at first to construct the four amplitudes of Veneziano type on which a number of requirements are imposed: (1) gauge invariance, (2) crossing symmetry, (3) Asymptotic behavior for both fixed t and fixed u as s→∞, (4) signatures of trajectories and (5) correct pole structure. Secondly we study the general features predicted by the model and obtain a new fit to the experimental data. In particular, our attentions are paid to angular distributions of the differential cross section at forward angles (0Isim-tIsim1.6) for the 4 GeV and 6 GeV laboratory energies of photons. The dependence of dσ/dt on the energy of the incident photons is also discussed.
