The Baryon Spectrum and Reflection Partners

An SU(3) Regge scheme proposed previously, which classifies baryon trajectories into four Regge families, is re-examined. A switch phenomenon is considered for two mutually crossing octet trajectories with the same quantum numbers. The nucleon trajectory can now pass through a wrong-signature nonsense point at u around -0.15(GeV/c)^2. As a consequence of the switching there emerge two kinds of reflection partners, local and global. The baryon spectrum is discussed again in the new scheme, by taking account of this peculiarity of octet trajectories.
