Magnetization of pure type-II superconductor is shown to be given by a formula, which has been familiar for ordinary orbital diamagnetism, in the whole region of the mixed state. This formula is used to find that the magnetization is composed of two contributions. The currents around the vortices make a contribution, which is given by the form factor of the system. It is the normalized Fourier transform of the two-dimensional field distribution, observed by neutron diffraction experiments. The other contribution is given by the shielding currents at the surface. Results of some calculations, available so far, are used to estimate this contribution. It is also pointed out that the magnetization is directly proportional to the forward scattering amplitude of the neutrons.
