In this second instalment of the series of essays on "Language and Culture", it is attempted to make clear how culture and civilization are interrelated. In the course of this research, the definition of both culture and civilization should remain as they had been in the previous paper, and it turned out to be the case that technology and technological development play crucial intermediary function in the interaction of culture and civilization. As the starting point, Aristotelian concept of technology was taken up and applied to this research all through. That proved to be feasible from the earliest stage of the evolution of Homo sapiens down to the latest state of advanced scientific technology. When different kinds or levels of technology came in contact, some technologies extinguished, some others came to vary their status in society, surviving as artisty, for instance. This process of status change can be distinguished in type. Any application of technology produces impact upon nature and society, mostly deteriorating natural and cultural conditions drastically, occasionally causing relatively harmless gradual changes which had left long lasting cultural values. In the present day technological development, there is the exercise of its devastating power towards culture, not only in developing societies, but inside advanced civilized countries. But there is no difference in kind in technology's influencing the interrelationship between culture and civilization.
