Anisotropic Josephson-Vortex Dynamics in Layered Organic Superconductor with d-Wave Pairing Symmetry

To study the anisotropic Josephson-vortex dynamics in the layered organic superconductor \kappa-(ET)<inf>2</inf>Cu(NCS)<inf>2</inf>, we intensively investigated the in-plane anisotropy of flux-flow resistivity in the non-Ohmic regime. Sharp peaks due to dissipative processes associated with the vortex dynamics were clearly observed in all in-plane magnetic field directions. The dependence of the flux-flow resistivity on in-plane field-orientation showed a fourfold symmetry with broad maxima along the [0, \pm 1, \pm 1] directions and cusp-like minima along the [0, \pm 1, 0] and [0, 0, \pm 1] directions. The origin of the fourfold symmetry in terms of the interplay between the d-wave superconducting gap symmetry and the anisotropic viscous motion of the vortices is discussed.
