Two Superconducting Phases in the Isovalent Solid Solutions BaTi

We have recently reported two superconductors with the d^{1} square lattice, BaTi<inf>2</inf>Sb<inf>2</inf>O (T_{\text{c}}=1.2 K) and BaTi<inf>2</inf>Bi<inf>2</inf>O (T_{\text{c}}=4.6 K). In order to find a clue behind the superconductivity of these materials, we synthesized isovalent solid solutions of BaTi<inf>2</inf>(As<inf>1-x</inf>Sb<inf>x</inf>)<inf>2</inf>O and BaTi<inf>2</inf>(Sb<inf>1-y</inf>Bi<inf>y</inf>)<inf>2</inf>O. Despite Vegard's law behavior in cell constants, a two-dome structure in T_{\text{c}} was observed with two distinct superconducting phases (``0.9\leq x;y\leq 0.3'' and ``0.6\leq y\leq 1'') separated by a metallic phase. This result implies a multiband nature at the Fermi surface in BaTi<inf>2</inf>Pn<inf>2</inf>O.
