To generate few-cycle laser pulses more efficiently, an Al-coated hollow fiber used for spectral broadening from 500 to 930 nm was employed to achieve higher transmission efficiency. The Al coating inside the hollow fiber and the enlargement of the core diameter to 500 μm improved the transmittance efficiency of the hollow fiber to 68%. Carrier-envelope phase-locked 0.13-TW, 5.2-fs laser pulses were generated at a repetition rate of 1 kHz using a 56-cm-long Al-coated hollow fiber filled with Ar gas.
