We propose the miniaturized rotary-type voice coil motor (VCM) actuator that has an effective focusing mechanism and a sufficient bandwidth for a small-form-factor (SFF) optical disk drive (ODD) based on Blu-ray disk (BD) $1\times$ specifications.
