Ni–B catalysts modified with a small amount of copper(II) salt have a higher selectivity than palladium and modified Raney nickel catalysts for partial hydrogenation of phenylacetylene, 1-heptyne, 1-ethynylcyclohexene, and propargyl alcohol.
