Poly(iminoethylene)s containing benzo-15-crown-5 moieties as pendant groups can transport Rb<SUP>+</SUP> cation more effectively than the other alkali cations through an organic liquid membrane. The transport selectivities of the polymers diminish drastically with decreasing crown ether content in the polymer chain.
