Mass transfer coefficients estimated from the formation ratio of the hydrodimeric to hydromonomeric products in electroreduction of <I>p</I>-methylbenzaldehyde in parallel plate electrode–flow cell and rotating cylinder electrode–beaker cell systems were shown in good agreement (less than 8% difference) with those obtained by ordinary current–potential and concentration–time methods.
