Simple Mechanical Model Calculations of the Elastic Constants and Normal Frequencies of the NaNO<SUB>2</SUB> Crystal

The optically-active vibration was analyzed for the NaNO<SUB>2</SUB> crystal on the basis of a simple mechanical model. Force constants which interpret fairly well both the observed elastic constants and the vibrational frequencies of the optically-active modes were determined.
