The additive effects of cyclodextrins on the photolysis of p-benzoquinone in water were investigated spectrophotometrically. By applying Michaelis-Menten keinetics, the dissociation constant of the inclusion complex was determined. The quantum yield for the formation of hydroquinone from the complex increased, while that of 2-hydroxy-1,4-benzoquinone decreased.
