• The radicals in the title and the bicyclo[3.2.1]oct-3-en-2-yl radical are examined with ESR. The extent of the odd electron delocalization due to π-π homo-conjugation in the bicyclo[3.2.1]octa-3,6-dien-2-yl radical is estimated to be in the order of a few per cent.
