The dissociation reaction of nitrilotriacetatocadmate(II) complexes has been investigated polarographically and chronopotentiometrically in the presence and the absence of acetate ions. The results indicate that the treatment reported by Koryta for the effect of acetate ion on the kinetic current is appropriate.<BR>The rate constant of the dissociation reaction of nitrilotriacetatocadmate(II) complexes is a function of hydrogen ion concentration and expressed as<BR><I>k</I>=3.4+2.5×105[H+]+2×108[H+]2<BR>at 25°C.
