1) 3-Acetamido-3-deoxy-2,4,6-tri-<I>O</I>-methyl-D-glucose (I) and <I>N</I>-2,4-dinitrophenyl) derivative (II) of 6-amino-6-deoxy-2,3,4-tri-<I>O</I>-methyl-D-glucose have been isolated from the hydrolyzate of exhaustively methylated <I>N</I>-acetyl kanamycin.<BR>2) II has been synthesized from 6-amino-6-deoxy-3,5-benzylidene -1,2-isopropylidene-D-glucose.
