We obtained a large amount of blood from healthy men, extacted steroids with ethanol or ether-ethanol mixture and separated them chromatographically<BR>(1) 1st experiment. 1120ml. of whole blood (20-45 years old) extraced with ethanol. Androgenic fraction, free 210.3 and conjugate 214.1 γ/1000ml.. Estrogenic fraction, free 1.80 and conjugate 9.91 γ/ 1000 ml.<BR>(2) 2nd. experiment. 2145na1. of whole blood (20-25 years old) extracted with ethanol-ether mixture. Androgenic fraction, free 302.3, conjugate 166.5 and protein-bound 529.3 γ/1000ml.. Estrogenic fraction, free 12.98, conjugate 5.30 and protein-bound 31.2 γ/1000 ml..<BR>(3) 3rd. experiment. 2000 ml. of whole blood (40-50 years old) extracted with ethanol-ether mixture. Androgenic fraction, free 103.5, conjugate 150.0 and protein-bound 183.0 γ/1000 ml.. Estrogenic fraction, free 24.84, conjugate 4.57 and protein-bound 8.82 γ/1000 ml..
