• The effect of [Asu1, 7]-eel-Calcitonin (ECT) on osteopenia induced by Thiotepa in rats have been investigated.1) Severe osteopenia was induced by one injection of Thiotepa 10mg/kg in young female rats.2) ECT with doses over 10U/kg protected from this osteopenia dose dependently.3) This finding suggest the promotion of bone formation by ECT.
