A case of acute cervical pain associated with soft tissue calcium deposit anterior to the cervical vertebrae was reported.A thirty years old lady complained of acute pain and rigidity of the neck accompanied by pain on swallowing, plane X-ray films of her cervical spine were obtained, and deposit of calcium in the soft tissue anterior to the interspace of the sixth and seventh cervical vertebrae were found. Rest by cervical collar and antiinflammatory drugs were given. Few days after. clinical symptoms disappeared. Two months later, plane X-ray films were obtained aganin and the deposit of calcium in the soft tissue disappeared.
