Two cases of bone defects by chronic osteomyelitis have been treated by radical excision of the necrotic bone followed by packing the cavities with a fibrin-antibiotic compound. The operation was carried out with the fibrin-antibiotic compound alone. Case 1 had healed well at follow-up fime one year after the operation and had no symptoms at all. Case 2 had not healed three months after the operation and showed a lasting fistula. The replacement of the packing with some fibrin-antibiotic compound resulted in his healing, but he had minor symptoms after a long walk.
