Dislocation and Dislocation-Fracture of the Carpomentacarpal Joint.

Dislocation and facture-dislocation of carpomentacarpal joins except for the thumb are relatively rare.In this study, we investigated two new cases, one of which had a fracture-dislocatin of the left fourth carpomeracarpal joint and dislocation of the left fifith carpometacarpal joint, and another pahent with dislocationof right third, fourth and fifth carpomentacarpal joints. We also investigated a previouly diagnosed case who had a fracture-dislocation of right fourth carpomentacrpal joint.Closed reduction and percutameous pinning was perfomed in the two new cases, and open reduction and internal fixation using a Kirschner wire and plate was perfomed in the other case.At present, five months after the operation, the two cases which had been newly diagnosed, have recovered full activerty of daily living, sports, and work as before. The posroperative course of the previously diagnosed case, remained unevevtful fifiteen months post-operatively.
