• In the actual twisted yarns, the strained filaments migrate from their positions so as to be free from that strains. By this phenomena, the yarn structure deviates from the ideal helical structure heretofore used for the theoretical analysis of twisted yarn.<BR>In this report, the authors examined the effects of the change of yarn denier, number of filaments, yarn tension during twisting, and coefficient of friction between filaments upon the degree of deviation of actual yarn structure from ideal helical structure.
