Eccrine Porocarcinoma.

A 72-year-old male case of eccrine porocarcinoma is reported. The patient had a brownish tumor on the right thigh since his childhood. After the injury at his age of 71 years, a part of the tumor rapidly grew and formed a reddish tumor of 2.6cm in size. The histology revealed eccrine poroma-like tumor cell nests in the epidermis in the periphery of the lesion. In contrast, malignant cells invade into the dermis, forming duct-like structures in the reddish tumor. The tumor was resected surgically, but 2 years later, it recurred.We measured a cellular DNA content of the tumor, in the primary and recurrent lesion by means of DAPI-DNA microfluorometric analyses. The DNA histogram of the primary tumor was a diploid pattern. On the contrary that of the recurrent tumor was aneuploid. The DNA index value was higher in the recurrent tumor than in the primary tumor. These results suggest that the recurrent tumor is composed of more malignant cells than the primary tumor.
